Frequently Asked Questions

1) What software do I need and where can I find them

  • You will need MATLAB (atleast version 5.2) for running these demos. You might need the Signal and Image processing toolbox for some demos
  • MATLAB can be purchased from Mathworks

2) How do run these demos ?

  • Download the zip file for the module that you are interested in. Unzip the files. You will need winzip for unzipping these files.
  • If you download the entire gallery, add the downloaded folder to your matlab path and type "sivaDSP" in the matlab command prompt to access all demos via an interface.
  • If you download individual demos, the name of the "main" program for each of the demos ends with "_gui.m". Start MATLAB, navigate to the directory containing the demo, and type the name of this main program (e.g. s1_gui.m or gibbs_gui.m) at the MATLAB command prompt to run your demo
